A photometric research on the eclipsing binary RU UMi
A series of photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary RU UMi,made in 1972 with a yellow filter at the Astronomical Observatory ofTorino, is presented. The lightcurve shows perturbations and somefeatures not previously found. An interpretation was attempted by meansof the method of Russell and Merrill. The elements found suggest that RUUMi is probably a contact system, with presence of gas streams. Noperiod variation has been detected.
