Looking for dust and molecules in Nova V4743 Sagittarii
We present 1.2 mm continuum images and spectral line observations ofCO(1-0) and SiO(3-2) rotational transitions of the recent nova V4743Sgr. The nova is detected at 1.2 mm showing a variable millimetreemission. Only upper limits of TA* = 0.06 K for COand TA* = 0.03 K for SiO could be derived. Wediscuss the results in terms the nature of the millimetre emissionfavouring dust from a phase before the recent outburst as the likelyradiating source. We also comment on the possibility of free-freeemission from the ionised shell as the source of the measured millimetreradiation.Based on observations collected with the Swedish ESO Submm Telescope atthe European Southern Observatory, La Silla, Chile.

E. W. Fick Observatory stellar radial velocity measurements. I - 1976-1984
Stellar radial velocity observations made with the large vacuumhigh-dispersion photoelectric radial velocity spectrometer at FickObservatory are reported. This includes nearly 2000 late-type starsobserved during 585 nights. Gradual modifications to this instrumentover its first eight years of operation have reduced the observationalerror for high-quality dip observations to + or - 0.8 km/s.
