Radial velocities of population II binary stars. I.
Radial velocities for 114 Hipparcos stars, mostly high transversevelocity binaries without previous radial velocity measurements, arepublished. Measurements are made with the CORAVEL-type radial velocityspectrometer. The accuracy of measurements is better than 1 km/s. Twostars, BD +30 deg 2129A and HD 117466AB are found to be radial velocityvariables, and three more stars, HD 119515A, HD 131597AB, and HD 153344,are possible radial velocity variables.
| Hipparcos astrometry for 257 stars using Tycho-2 data
We present improved Hipparcos astrometry for 257 Hipparcos stars,resolved into 342 components. For 64 of the stars no astrometry wasobtained in the Hipparcos Catalogue, while for the remaining starsadditional components have been added by this solution or the positionshave been revised considerably. | Photoelectric photometry of stars near the north Galactic pole. II
UBV photometric observations of about 700 stars near the north Galacticpole, obtained using single-channel photometers on the 40-cm and 60-cmCassegrain telescopes at Kvistaberg Observatory (during 1976-1983) andthe Spanish International Observatory (during 1984), respectively, aspart of a program including the stars to be observed by the Hipparcosspacecraft, are reported. The data are presented in a series of tablesand briefly characterized.
